Volunteers
We have volunteers from all walks of life and we’re extremely grateful for the skills and talents they bring to the team.
Anyone can help in their everyday lives by simply spreading the word;
‘Early detection of cancer saves lives’.
One volunteer decided to knit wooly boobs (what a novel idea). This proved a huge success, providing an interactive way of reminding woman to regularly self-check their breasts.
Digital Health Ambassadors
This aspect of volunteering is exclusively online and simply involves sharing health messages on a regular basis, these messages are posted to the Leeds Digital Ambassadors Facebook group.
Perfect for those with busy lives who would like to be involved.
This button will take you to the Facebook group where you can join.
“When the position with Leeds Cancer Awareness came up, I instantly knew that I wanted to be a part of it, right from the start the support I have received has been impeccable”.

“I started volunteering because my friend had bowel cancer and put off going to the doctor. I realised I didn’t know much about screening, I jumped at the opportunity to get out there and raise awareness”.
